Glitter Ball 4 at Grain Belt Bottling HouSe
Nothing more intriguing than an attractive woman with a mask and
atmosphere of mystery.
Wanted to make sure you and your friend saw that City pages pick you two
Grain Belt Bottling House Atrium hosted a totally wired benefit for the
Youth Performance Company with a Warholian 60's vibe. Music, art, brew*,
and beautiful people in *funky threads*, made for a groovy time.

Rock The Cause Chosen As A Cities 97 Sampler 22 Charity!
Rock The Cause is pleased to announce that Cities 97 chose Rock the Cause as a beneficiary of the Cities 97 Sampler 22! We were chosen along with 38 other non-profit organizations from a group of more than 440 submissions to receive grants from the proceeds of the sampler.
Listeners who purchased the sampler generated $750,000 in proceeds, of which Rock the Cause will receive a portion! We would like to thank Cities 97, the sponsors of Sampler 22, and the listeners who helped make the grant possible!
Thank you Cities 97 Listeners!
"A Night in Andy Warhol's Factory - A Generation Makes an Impact"
We could have easily held a costume contest for the crowd that attended this year's Glitterball. Edies and Andys and Bob Dylans of every version graced the factory-inspired event, which made for a fantastically colorful evening. The fourth and biggest event yet, Glitterball raised over $7200 for Youth Performance Company and community programs. While also signing up volunteers for the upcoming MN AIDS Walk.
The event kicked off with guests taking a tour of the artwork installed around the venue, including live video portraitures that were portrayed on a large screen behind the bar. Guests enjoyed set lists from Pictures of Then, Alicia Wiley, The Arms Akimbo, Joey Ryan & the Inks, and Not Like This, performing some of their original songs alongside covers of some of the best music from the era, including The Velvet Underground, The Kinks, The Doors and more. Youth Performance Company members also took over the stage to remind us of the importance of music and art in a community.
We are so thankful for all RTC has done for us with Glitterball4 and choosing us as the beneficiary of that event this year. You guys have been so amazing to work with and we've never had, in all of our 22 years, the exposure that RTC has given us so THANK YOU! We hope to have made fans and friends for a long time through RTC! - Kris Nugent YPC Board President
With all the music and multi-media art, the audience themselves deserved the biggest round of applause for their enthusiasm and ability to make an event come alive. Check out local media for great photos of guests, artists and staff who attended Glitterball 4.
